About Us
Culture Tree Ltd. was founded in 2015, when Gbemisola Isimi discovered that there weren’t many resources or avenues to help with teaching children of African-heritage their mother tongue.
What started as a YouTube channel with animated cartoons in Yoruba language has since grown to an organisation with three arms to the business; a Production Company, Brand Consultancy and Not-for-profit.
Our team continues to grow as we partner and work on innovative and immersive ways to showcase the beauty, value and diversity of people and cultures on the African continent.
CultureTree Centre
A cultural hub in the heart of South London
We launched our cultural and recreational centre CultureTree Centre in 2019. The Centre was located in South East London, Peckham but closed due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. It continues to be a community based initiative with a mission to encourage, promote, and preserve West African languages, arts and culture.
