Community Conversation
On Saturday 8th July 2023, we held our Community Conversation at South London Gallery in Peckham.
The aim of the community conversation was to discuss how we could collectively work towards resolving any existing issues (i.e. mother tongue preservation), forge new relationships and of course inform our community about our upcoming projects and how you could be involved.
We also discussed the new memorial dedicated to the victims of the transatlantic slave trade in London by the Mayor of London’s Commission for Diversity in the Public Realm. This discussion will help shape the decisions and final outcomes of the new transatlantic slave trade memorial.
Nothing beats connecting with people in person and it was amazing to meet like-minded individuals, share ideas, hear people’s thoughts and also plan for the future.
