Welcome to Yoruba Stars Club – a fun, inspiring space where children can connect with the beauty of the Yoruba language and culture through music, storytelling, games, creative activities and conversation.
Our sessions are designed to help children grow in confidence while learning to speak, understand and read Yoruba in an engaging and age-appropriate way. Whether your child is a complete beginner or already understands some Yoruba at home, Yoruba Stars Club provides a supportive environment where every child can shine.
our age groups
Ages 4 – 7
Children will:
* Learn simple Yoruba greetings and everyday words
* Sing Yoruba nursery rhymes and action songs
* Listen to Yoruba stories and folktales
* Build confidence speaking through games and role play
* Learn colours, numbers, animals, family names and simple phrases
Ages 8 – 12
Children will:
* Build vocabulary and simple sentences
* Take part in conversations and interactive speaking activities
* Learn Yoruba songs, proverbs, and storytelling traditions
* Develop reading and writing skills in Yoruba
* Work on creative projects, performances and team activities
Ages 13+
Children will:
* Develop conversational and written Yoruba skills
* Discuss real-life topics and express ideas in Yorùbá
* Explore Yorùbá literature, poetry and proverbs
* Develop reading comprehension and writing skills
* Work on creative projects, performances and team activities
