Yoruba Stars Club

At Yorùbá Stars Club, children learn Yorùbá through songs, stories, games, conversation, drama and creative activities. Our sessions are interactive, age-appropriate and welcoming to both beginners and children who already understand some Yorùbá.

Lessons cover essential grammar and vocabulary such as greetings, using simple nouns and pronouns, responding to instructions and more. Our classes focus on language that can be used in everyday conversation. The best way to learn any language is through speaking. Whilst focussing on specific themes and learning objectives (such as mastering the Yorùbá alphabets, numbers, pronouns etc.) our learners watch short movies, listen to music, write poetry, play games and participate in various group activities. These fun and intensive learning experiences provide our students the opportunity to improve their speaking, reading, listening and writing capabilities. Our teaching style is interactive, making learning easier and faster!

More than just a language club, Yorùbá Stars Club is a space where children can make friends, express themselves, explore African culture and develop pride in who they are.

Session Details

• Ages: 4 – 7 years, 8 – 12 years and 13+
• Location: Chatham, Kent
• Times:
  • Tuesdays 4:30pm – 5:15pm (ages 4 – 7); 5:30pm – 6.30pm (ages 13+)
  • Wednesdays 4:30pm – 5:30pm (ages 8 – 12)
• £15 Taster Session (for new students only)
• £60 per month (4 weeks)
• Starts Tuesday 6th October 2026
