Our Culture Days

Experience a whole day of Culture.

A CultureTree Culture Day gives pupils the opportunity to explore African culture through a programme of interactive experiences delivered across the school.
Rather than focusing on one activity, we can bring together language, music, storytelling, food, art, movement, games and heritage.

Yorùbá language

Learn greetings, names, everyday words and phrases.

Stories and Folklore

Hear traditional stories and explore the lessons, characters and values within them.

Music and Drumming

Feel the rhythm through percussion, movement and music.

Arts and Craft

Create artwork inspired by African patterns, textiles and traditions.

Food and Food Culture

Explore African ingredients, dishes, food traditions and the stories behind what we eat.

African History and Culture

Explore people, places, traditions and stories from across Africa and the African diaspora.
