Festival of Creativity at Charter Schools
We’re thrilled to be working with Charter Schools East Dulwich this week for their first-ever ‘Festival of Creativity: Another World is Possible’ project. We will be working over 3 days with 180 Year 8 students to design some murals for our Yoruba Heritage Murals.
Leading this project are our CEO, Gbemisola Isimi; Polly Alakija, a muralist and creative director; and Ayodeji Alaka, a design strategist with vast experience in producing multi-platform experiences.
Working directly with the students are the amazingly talented artists Gabriel Eka, Temitope Adebowale, Eriore Sanni, and Jadesola Kloss.
Our sessions with the students will enable them to learn about and use the influence and key features of Yoruba artefacts, icons, and symbols to produce Yoruba heritage murals. It was a fantastic experience for them that they will be sure to remember for years to come.
